Agree with this.
Also Weds-Mon is too long.  I was there Fri-Sun and hit up most everything (see TR).

I think Wed-Mon is fine if you want to relax as well

The Botanical Gardens are beautiful as well

So if we stayed Friday through Monday only, do you have any ideas of where to go after before HKG? Tue-Sun seems too long for there, even with Macau thrown into the mix.

Another valid point. We might not want to rush the whole trip like our summer trips. Not that Dan was rushed, but there seemed to be a tight schedule Motei Shabbos from the TR.

Sorry dude

Been there twice for Shabbos.

Food is below avg and not exactly plentiful and the davening is longer than Rosh Hashanah in most places

We found the food to be fine. Was it Mike's? No, but I don't expect Mike's in SIN. Perhaps your expectations were too high? (And, FYI, SIN made NRT look like Mike's.)

Yes, as I said, davening was a bit longer than usual, but when you can shmooze away the davening with good people, it doesn't matter much to me.

I think Wed-Mon is fine if you want to relax as well

The Botanical Gardens are beautiful as well

Forgot about this... we also did the Botanical Gardens. Definitely a must-see. @Dan, makes the gardens we saw in NRT look like Omaha, Nebraska.

We also did Arab Market, which you can skip.

Wed at 3PM to Monday at 12PM was perfect. Anything less would have been too short.

Where have you already been in Asia?

If you haven't been to PEK yet that should be your first stop

I'd do SIN then PEK for 2-3 days then the balance in HKG.

With your timeline you can't do a secondary Asian city IMO.

We've only been to BKK (I know, not even CNX or HKT). We'll be going to Tokyo overnight as you know, and plan on visiting Macau if there's time. Beijing would be nice, but it's quite freezing at the end of January, so we didn't think it'd be the best idea. I'd ideally want to book any other city with 30k AC J SIN-X-HKG.

At the end of Jan? Even in the freezing cold?

Were you even there in Jan? Seems to be not the best time for touring, although it would make it a lot less crowded. And we'd need to check a bag with all our winter gear. Coming from LAX and going to SIN, HKG, and even NRT we wouldn't need as heavy of coats as PEK requires.

NRT can be very cold/snowing in January.

There's no particular reason to do Macau, no advantage over LAS.

So you're vote would be SIN Fri (3:05am)-Mon am, PEK Mon pm-Thu am, HKG Thu pm-Sun pm followed by NRT Sun night-Mon pm?

And it was snowing when I was there in Jan, YMMV with this stuff, but it won't be warm.

Not really. We're leaving on Wed from LAX and going straight to SIN. I know shabbos there isn't ideal (especially for a guy who usually davens at a hashkama minyan 7:00-8:40 on a regular shabbos), but unless we flew straight to PEK after landing in SIN, just to go back to SIN on Mon I don't think it'll work. Plus that'd mean an extra flight, SIN-HKG, and getting a visa for China if we went SIN-PEK-SIN instead of SIN-PEK-HKG.

Given the circumstances, do you think my proposed itinerary is good?

Last time we were in NRT in mid-Dec it was cold (40s) but by no means freezing or snowing. It seem like YMMV greatly. Or maybe the one month difference makes a big difference.
