You can send one as it can't hurt.

The CB is like 10-15 minute walk.
And everything at that CB is kosher, like in LA/NYC?

They have a pretty extensive menu. Keep in mind that they only make certain items at different points in the day (can't get a pasta dish in the morning if you want to save it for lunch).

They have pasta? I assume you can get bagels and cream cheese in the morning and save it for lunch?

Just how oppressive is the heat and humidity in Singapore (in the winter, not that it actually makes a difference)? Does it really affect the speed at which you can do outdoor activities?
It can be pretty oppressive.  But the other thing to bear in mind is that there is lots of (torrential) rain in Singapore.  Be prepared to change plans based on that.  Get a couple back up ideas just in case.

I know about the rain, but that doesn't make it less oppressive.  Many activities such as Gardens by the Bay are indoors, no? Also isn't the rain strong but passing, so just because it's pouring now it may stop in a few minutes (like S FL)?

Not necessarily.  It can rain for hours/days. Just saying that if you are planning outdoor activities such as Botanical Gardens, have a backup plan.

I guess it can do that in any city, no? I know SIN is tropical, but from what I've read online non-stop rain for days is not normally an issue in January.

According to the historical weather data from the government, the end of January (22-25) is usually pretty dry. Hopefully this continues for my visit.

Good to know. It's almost like a second restaurant.

I think it deserves to have the quotation marks removed. Definitely suitable to go eat a meal.

Plus it's a lot closer to the GH, and to my benefit, it's dairy.

Best mode of transportation in SIN? Uber/Taxi or public transit? Also it seems that most of the tourist attractions are relatively close to one another, not on opposite sides of the country/city. Do people ever go to the other parts (northern) of SIN?

There's not much there, it's workers housing etc.

Uber is great

Gotcha. Anyone ever bike to Malaysia? AJK mentioned it above but searches come up dry on people who have done that.

It depends where you are going. If it's a few stops on the train, that's prob most efficient. Über works well. The only problem I found with Uber is that some of our drivers didn't speak English or understand where we wanted to be dropped off - even though the destination was pretty clearly stated on their phone

If not in a rush, walking is not a bad option.

Most things are walking distance (45 min walk and under)? I did it it Rome so not totally against the idea.

Thanks for the tip. That's why I'm studying Chinese.

I walked from the GH with wife and kid and wasn't too bad.
