Taxis are cheap, subways are even cheaper and are great.
I had some language issues in HKG, but none in SIN.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

I walked from the GH with wife and kid and wasn't too bad.

I remember that map. What was at 47 Waterloo? Is that the restaurant?

Cool. Now I have to reread your TR to see what you did the other days you were there if you did so much in one day.

I assume it'll be gone in 3 months when I'll be there.  :)

So regarding Sentosa Island:

Does the island have an entrance fee in and of itself, or do you just pay for what you want to do?

Besides for the theme parks, aquarium and casino (no interest), what are some of the more popular things to see there? I was looking at the luge (as mentioned in Dan's TR), looking around Siloso Point and the boardwalk to walk around. How long will that realistically take? Is it enough to fill an entire day with?

The Island's entrance fee is charged as a toll on the entrance bridge. IIRC there's a cable car from somewhere that you can take into Sentosa

I saw the cable car. What's cheaper? A cab/uber to the cable car station and paying for the cable car or just paying the toll to the cab/uber driver assuming they charge you (which I assume they do)?

How do shabbos meals work in SIN? I'll be arriving on Friday morning and don't have any reason to go to the shul until Friday night. Do you need to make reservations and pay beforehand?

No need to go before, just reserve online at www.SingaporeJews.com

What about showing your passport? Will a copy/picture be enough so I don't have to leave the actual passport in shul over shabbos?

Nope
Maybe it was becasue you were entering with others that had shown their passports, or because it was Friday night.

In general they aren't very makpid especially during davening times. You can always ask to call a Rabbi and then it will definitely not be an issue if you are a frum Jew. It's nothing like Hong Kong or Istanbul etc.

What's so tough about HKG? Also are we talking about the JCC there, KZ, or any Jewish place?

JCC - they ask you more questions than an Elal check in agent.
There's absolutely no security by KZ.

Even my second time around, they were still interrogating me about how i knew about them.
