Hows the W Singapore? I'll be there for two nights. Don't have any status with them besides for the SPG Card?

What hotels would you recommend. Two Weeknights!

Ill be there a tuesday night wednesday night. How much is taxi from hotel to that area? Is it worth staying there?

Any hotel near the shul, restaurants, that is worth staying by? Sheraton towers, hyatt?

For those that asked about top of bay sands, I pulled the kudeta trick and it worked.

Me: I am meeting an associate for drinks at ku de ta
Her: may I have the name?
Me: some long Asian name, hell if I can pronounce it but it has 4 syllables and a tan at the end.
Her: I am sorry, I am not seeing it in the system.
Me: just give me a pass
Her: sure, here you go, good luck!

I then used it to access the bar, restaurant and sky park. Not bad. (I did not hand it the pass over like I should have, gave it to a backpacker when I got back to land)

Trip report coming soon.

Ended up staying in Grand Hyatt. Used suite upgrade cert. Got the one suite that is duplex, at least according to the Lounge Rep there was only one of them.

WATCH OUT FOR TAXI DRIVERS!!! THEY LOVE TO RIP YOU OFF. Out of the five taxi's two tried ripping us off and one we even go the police involved.

I used taxis for 1 week straight. Always fair, meter on, no questions asked. We were 7 people, no one veer complained, that we were to much or wanted more.
At the Zoo after closing, there was a huge line for taxis, so we used one of the non meters and he charged 10 dollars more then rate. Ok for not waiting 20 minutes in line

I did have one dishonest taxi but even he admitted to being dishonest and let us out for free.

So then is it just me with bad luck, or maybe because I like picking fights?  :-\

How far was the GH from the shul and food (in terms of shabbos)? Walk-able?
Thinking of staying there or splitting it up and going to the IC just for shabbos
