So it seems like after last night seminar, people are starting to hear about a website called dans deals or something like that.

I have known about this for some time, but I don't know that I like how, specifically Frum based instructions for how to game the system. This fellow posts how you can save quite a bit on
flights to and from Israel, but it's technically not
quite Kosher'. He researches which cities in the US
are running cheap promotions to Israel. And since
all flights or most, go thru NY, he advised that you
can take a one way flight to say, Houston, then, start your international trip, Houston, NY, direct to
TLV or with a Euro stopover, and then return, he
tells that you can just leave JFK with your luggage.
This is all true, but it's not legal according that you have a contract with the airline to complete all
segments, just like you wouldn't be able to start the trip from JFK and not Houston. I think we all
know this already. My issue is if this is constitute a bit of a Chilull Hashem or not. Maybe b'Tznina, is one thing, if someone does it but to so publicize this, is a little embarrassing to me.

I have many qualms but of all things hidden city??? There are actually laws (in certain jurisdictions) forbidding airlines from canceling tickets if you don't fly one of them.

i spoke to a travel agent who wanted to come i explained a little and he said oh the hidden city- we are not allowed to do it.

A TA can get huge fines for ticketing a hidden city. Always use an OTA, especially if you care about your TA.
I know a guy who got an $80k debit memo

I'm assuming the 80K was not for one client. If they can show that he is booking 10's of passengers on similar routings and they are all getting off early that could give the airlines grounds to prove he is aware and purposely doing it.

Is it alkso constitued as a chilul hashem if you book a ticket and then don't show up since ur in "contract" to fly
IMO he is Not entitled to his own opinion in this case
