Find this thread interesting... had a hard time convincing a Jewish friend of mine that flying QR/EK/EY is worth it versus BA...

Can't seem to find it. Link?
Anyway, in the drop-down menu for meal preferences it does not show kosher as an option.
Anybody recently fly QR and order kosher? Is it available? If yes, how is done? Do you need to call to request?
I requested it when I booked with AA and I see the request confirmed when I view my reservation on QR's website.

I wasn't born in Israel, but I will guarantee you that the fact that you were born in Israel won't be an issue, assuming you're using a U.S. passport.

I know, thanks.
Just need to reassure someone transiting DXB, he wanted to hear from someone with first hand experience.

Am I fine putting on Tefilin on a QR flight? Can either do it on PHL-DOH or DOH-MLE (both in J). No time for lounge in between flights. I can technically also put on in lounge in MLE while waiting for local flight but feel like that's the worst option of the 3.

I would do it on the PHL-DOH.
Shouldn't be a problem.

I would without thinking twice. Personally, I plan on putting on Tefillin on a Gulf Air flight in a couple of months, which most people here would probably think is worse.

I've flown EY F from LHR - AUH and put on תפילין.

Ya, but EY F is a private seat with doors. QR J isn't.

What are you scared of?  No one is attacking you on the plane.

I'm aware. But I'd still rather not be made extremely uncomfortable. My question is if other passengers generally show an indifference or if they look like they'd love to attack you but are restraining myself. Not trying to sound close minded our paranoid, I just don't know. Never flown on any of these airlines before.
