Wow, guys I really appreciate all the time and effort plus the fact that you clearly posted to benefit ppl like me.

Just to recap, cooked POM/Traditions BEEF meals are fine if they follow labeling directions.
Mealmart need/chicken is OK
Very Lil dairy would be let in.
Vacuum packed Deli/jerky is OK if labeled.
All meat products must total to less than 20kg.

Any info about a Costco sized box of protein bars? (I can pound those)

Nope. When I went through customs they confiscated all the chicken meal mart meals, though they did allow me to keep the meat meals.
Regarding POM meals, I didn't bring any because the research I did ( including examining the POM packaging) made me believe there was almost no way they would let that in.

Your agent was misinformed.

Pursuant to Section 2.1 of Import Health Standard (Specified Foods for Human Consumption Containing Animal Products), retorted animal products are allowed, subject to the following:

Thus, all Meal Mart meals are allowed, regardless of food type, provided those with bone-in meat is less than 4.4 lbs.

Also, inaccurate. (But fortunately so.)

I have been successful twice in bringing POM meals into AKL.

The first time was a breeze.

The second time was difficult, but I could have avoided the difficulty if the meals had said they were from USA-based meat ("The country of manufacture is identifiable from the packaging.").

Ok so headed to NZ in a few weeks - I was planning on spending about 11 days in an RV with my wife and two toddlers touring the South Island. Plans changed (out of my hands) and I'll be arriving into Christchurch late Tuesday night, and leaving after Shabbat from Queenstown- giving me roughly Wednesday-Saturday  :( Ditching FJ and Fox glaciers as they're way out of the way and with toddlers can't do Heli Hikes which are what seems are the cool part of them.

Given that I barely have any time, the places I'm thinking of hitting are:
Wednesday -
+/- Mount Cook - helicopter with alpine landing
Lake Tekapo (for some astrophotography)
Thursday
Moeraki Boulders
Dunedin - for the wildlife
Friday
Drive to Queenstown
+/- Flight to Milford (+/- cruise, +/- glacier landing)
- Shabbat
Hilton Queenstown

Option 2 would include Wednesday driving straight to Dunedin, Thursday driving to Milford Sound, overnighting, and then Friday driving Milford to Queenstown.

Option 3 would ditch the motorhome, Wednesday straight to Dunedin (+/- Lake Tekapo on the way but adds 2 hrs+), Thursday Dunedin --> Wanaka --> Queenstown, AFternoon Flight to Milford + Glacier landing, Thursday night - Shabbat Queenstown

From my experience I'd make Milford less integral. PITA to get to and really not all that impressive. On the way to Queenstown Wanaka there is a lot to see.
