And now that you mention that, I remember hearing that if you win a chinese auction, the donation that you had given, can't be counted as maaser.

I doubt you'll get as much donation for such a thing. Maybe if its for assisting animals. They do amazing things.
Or St. Judes?

Preferably to an organization that uses the biggest percentage of the money for actual charity.
