Museums...there are a few to choose from depending on your interests. Navy pier has an indoor children's museum. There is a trampoline place as well that I could probably get details on if you were interested. Food is always a great activity

It's great, but that's all it is. Not sure how long that takes. I did it a few years back, and it was cool and all, but once you walk out there, how long are you sticking around?

Agreed. What I'm trying to say is, if you're trying to fill an afternoon, this may not be the way to go.

Crazy question. I'm going to Chicago again to visit my ill sister (2 days 1 night). She's in The Self Help Home and I'm staying again at the Residence Inn Wilmette/Skokie on 3205 Old Glenview Road. Using my wife's free night. They were very nice to me last time - very early check in and very late checkout, so I'm going again. This time it'll be Chanukah. I got my psak where my wife will light at home in Brooklyn and be Yotzei me. However, I was told I need to see a lit menorah - best would be to drive by a house that has one. So my weird question is, based on where I'm staying can someone give me a close block where I can see menorahs? (Maybe I'll find parking near Milt's and try it this time). Thanks for any help.

Milts is downtown, I doubt they'll be menorahs there.

That was a new topic. Based on the reviews here it seems real good. Last time I couldn't find parking. Maybe this time I will.

You're right near Skokie, a quick drive down a few streets should get you quite a few menorahs.

You can order from Milt's using the Postmates app to downtown. Cheapest option delivery wise. Other places will charge an arm and a leg.

Why didn't you refer me and I'd have gotten $100 in delivery fee credit?

Tel Aviv has theirs at this time of year, and i'd assume several other bakeries do too.
