Parking at ORD: The cheapest place to park is in the O'hare lot G. It's $10/day. Be aware that you need to take a bus to the tram (in lot E) which takes you to the terminals. This can take 20-25 minutes

Combination of state and Skokie city restaurant tax. Instead of raising property taxes, they tax restaurants.
Food in a grocery store is lower

State - 6.25 with 1% for food and drugs.

It's on top of Nordstrom on Michigan Ave. Rooms are newly renovated. Stayed in a double queen which was about on par with what you'd expect from a nice westin, with a few added design flourishes. Bathroom was spacious and nice. Staff quite nice and accommodating.

Has anyone tried the Omakase at Shallots? After watching Jiro Dreams of Sushi I've been dying to try something like that but always assumed it doesn't exist in kosher. Essentially it means putting your dining experience in the chef's hands and letting him/her guide you through a progressive sushi menu.

I also noticed that they have o toro (very fatty tuna belly) and chu toro (medium fatty tuna belly) on the menu which I've looked all over for in kosher sushi places to no avail. Unfortunately it was not available the night I went.
