Parking at ORD: The cheapest place to park is in the O'hare lot G. It's $10/day. Be aware that you need to take a bus to the tram (in lot E) which takes you to the terminals. This can take 20-25 minutes

I didnt mean shots fired at Chicago. I meant it to the DDF owned Chicago dairy restaurant

I plan to do visit Chicago and the lakes for 7-10 days, I'm having a hard time figuring out how to tour the lakes and find the best places to see. Any advices?

what are the Lakes? If you mean the 5 great lakes , only Lake Michigan is near Chicago . The others are hours away.
Lake Erie- hours away by Toledo/Cleveland/ Niagara
Lake Huron- 7 hours away northern michigan
Lake Superior- 5 hours away Northern Wisconsin/ UP Michigan
Lake Ontario- 10 hours

I do plan to drive around as much as possible, Lake Superior is on my list for sure. I'm looking for point of interest and things to see around so that I can plan accordingly.
I also have Mackinac Island on my list and Madeline Island maybe but if anyone has done it recently or have any advices that would be great :)
