landing at 11:20 pm for a one day trip, what would be the best way to have food waiting for me at the hotel? and from which restaurant? staying at the north shore holiday inn (need to be close to the community and seemed the best bet) (and had free nights to burn)

What's the best place for a business lunch? Trying to decide if I should go to Shallot's or go somewhere near my hotel (Hilton Chicago). Seems the only option there is Milt's. Is that a good option?

Milt's is your closest option. I've seen many a meeting there, although it is a bit more casual for a meeting. Good food, and less pricey than Shallots.

I don't think Milt's has been open for lunch since pre-covid.
Shallot's has also gone way downhill of late

As noted in the wiki, it's a Starbucks type place. It's in the Jewish area, not near downtown (20-30min drive).

Bond is great, though that's a far cry from Milt's/Shallots food.
