Thanks you two. Chicago it is.

Definitely take a stroll through Lincoln Park Zoo (go in the morning before it's too hot) followed by outdoor lunch at Milt's.   Millenium Park is fun for the kids, too.  Lots of open space to just run around.

And I would recommend going up to the glass boxes observatory in the Sears (Willis) Tower

so just changed my routing so I can sleep in Thursday and also get a 1.25hr stopover at ORD, should be enough time to meet a delivery driver for some milts (first time for DW and I). whats the best bet for lunch and dinner(has to be able to be reheated nicely).

seems like the burgers for lunch make sense, slab or ribs/chili for dinner?

any thoughts on issues getting this done?

No issues. Just make sure to order enough in advance so the driver doesnt get to you too late.

Milts Burger and Chili for lunch.
Full slab of Ribs for Dinner.

Can't go wrong.

Wings -- any flavor -- are delicious, too (even reheated).

W Chicago - City Center is a 5 minute walk from Loop Synagogue.  Minyanim everyday.  (Shabbos used to be with a Tzomet mic but don't think that's the case anymore.)

Alright, now you're getting me nervous...

You can just contact the shul - very friendly: info@chicagoloopsynagogue.org.  When I say "used to," I'm talking 10 years ago -- I think things have changed since then.

They also have kosher lunches from Sandwich Club every day, which are good value and delicious ($11 for wrap/sandwich, chips, coleslaw, huge cookie and drink).
