That's what I thought, and if it wasn't a leap year, it would have been open by now. no?

What is Dairy Star?
Another Chicago stomping ground that is irrationally loved by the locals

Methinks the out-of-towners protest too much to the local institution love.   #Kens4Life

Plenty of good hotel options near Loop Synagogue (if you wanted to be near a shul but still stay downtown).  I would get Milt's for dinner (room temp brisket chili is still solid...), get Tein Li Chow takeout for Shabbos lunch, and then go to Shallots Motzei Shabbos.

Visiting for two days on Chol Hamoad with two small kids. I got Legoland and Lincoln Zoo (if the weather is nice) on my list. What else should I put up there?

(I know, I know, flying to Chicago for Legoland... It's all about the kids. For myself I'm planning for the Maldives)

I'd go to Navy pier and the children's museum. Walk around. Maybe go on a boat ride.
