Even for adults? Never really enjoyed museums, always feels like a chore when DW makes us go with the kids.
I would say even for adults.

Bebe's Kosher Deli (in Ogilvie Transportation Center).  They have bagels, lox, etc. in the mornings, and deli stuff in the afternoons.

Going to stay downtown. Parking seems really expensive. Any advice on how to limit the cost? Thinking of just ubering everywhere.

If you're staying downtown you don't need a car. I actually got a great rate on rental car ($45 for 2 days including taxes/fees) but I ended up not taking the car. I just bought an unlimited CTA pass for my wife and I and used public transportation. I even took it to the Skokie area for dinner one night. To Skokie it does take some time but it wasn't too long. From the Skokie CTA station we used Lyft for like $6-$7 and then took it back again to the train station. Google maps worked great for public transit directions. WE used Lyft one other time for a short downtown ride when we had just missed a bus and would of have to wait a bit before the next one (as that was on a Sunday). Milt's is so close to downtown that public transit is really quick.

You didnt take Uber from downtown to Skokie? Its only about 25-30$ and when you make a *new* account you can basically get it for freee.

No I didn't. It only took about 45 minutes from downtown to the skokie CTA stop so it really wasn't bad at all. We were in no rush and on a low budget trip. The 2 lyft rides cost me $13 (roudntrip) and the train ride was free as I already had the unlimited ride CTA station. Even if I wasn't trying to reduce costs sometimes I just enjoy doing what locals do and not always doing the usual tourist things.
