Parking at ORD: The cheapest place to park is in the O'hare lot G. It's $10/day. Be aware that you need to take a bus to the tram (in lot E) which takes you to the terminals. This can take 20-25 minutes

Based on your kids age, I would suggest the Sea Dog (I think that's what it's called) by Navy Pier. It's a medium size boat that catches the waves and gets you somewhat wet. It's great for kids and adults, unless your kids will get scared from such things. I'm also not sure about the price.

Correct, I never stayed at PH so I can't answer that but based on what I've heard it's world's above the regency. It's right on Michigan Avenue too which is nice.

I have never stayed at the regency but was just at the ph and it was gorgeous. Great location downtown. rooms are very nice. great view and right on the Magnificent mile.
