I wonder how ginos pizza would taste with chocolate chips. Could we then call this thread the trader joes pizza thread?

I think the Kosher Ginos is actually pretty good. A little bit too much crust, but the crust is more flavorful than most other frozen pizzas. The cheese and sauce are plentiful and I think much better quality than an Amnons or Chopsies etc. Don't get me wrong as I still prefer fresh pizza, but I think it is the best frozen that I have had.

A couple of things to keep in mind though (and this could be why many were underwhelmed):

1) The baking instructions are not good. If you follow the instructions (30 minute bake time), your pizza will be very underbaked. You either need to keep it in an extra 20 minutes or put your oven on broil for another 5-10 minutes.

2) The spinach pies are much, much better than the plain cheese ones. Better consistency and blend of ingredients.

3) One big con for me is that it is sold in pies vs slices so you can't just have it as a snack.

Also @Dan for the Kosher Gino's location, the most recent update I have seen was when the frozen pizzas debuted, they said that despite long delays, they are still planning on opening a physical location https://www.dnainfo.com/chicago/20170411/wicker-park/ginos-east-kosher-frozen-pizza-chicago-chabad-jewel-jeffrey-himmel-chabad/

Just spent 3 nights in Chicago & area. Very little is mentioned here about the Chicago Botanical Garden, which we really enjoyed and was gorgeous.
We stayed at the Holiday Inn on W Touhy.  Hotel is very decent, the location is great - close to Shuls & shallots. Make sure to ask for a room on an upper floor facing the street (they have rooms facing the inside of the building & indoor pool).

I had a weekend bar mitzvah in that hotel. The women are still complaining about their sheitels

Which is why I wrote to request a room away from the pool and area.

What are food delivery options at ORD?

GrubHub won't deliver milt's there... Can't tell for sure with Postmates.

Thinking of specifically flying through here the day after Tisha B'av to replenish our low meat levels...

Plain Uber. Many don't care, as long as you tell them before, and the food is packed well. EJs pizza is on Ubereats, but obviously not Fleish.

Never stayed at Sofitel, but as far as location, I'd take the Hyatt, as it's on the river with great views of the lake as well. I'm a big fan of the Hyatt too.
