Thinking of doing two days in Chicago on Chol Hamoad. Thinking of not taking along Lulev and Esrog, so I would want to stay near a Shul so I can borrow a set. Where should I stay?
Also, any restaurants have sukkahs where I can eat?

I will be in ORD Sunday AM (coming off redeye)-Monday evening. Staying near magnificent mile, renting a car.

Meal plan:
Sunday breakfast- Emma's (will also bring pastries back to the hotel for Monday AM)
Sunday Lunch- Milt's
Sunday Dinner-Shallots

Monday breakfast- Emma's from Sunday
Monday lunch- Shallots
Monday dinner- pick up Evita to eat at ORD (flight at 830)

So the reason that Shallots is being done twice is because they are the only restaurant with a different lunch menu. Evita is takeout because the food is awesome, but probably the most lacking in ambience. I would rather not do an early dinner because I doubt we will be hungry so soon after lunch. Also with rush hour, we want to be closer to ORD at that time of day since we also have to return the car to Hertz.

Any suggestions for the meal plan? Also, any suggestions for things to do near ORD so we can make sure we aren't late? We do have precheck/priority boarding etc, but the rush hour traffic is unknown and I don't want to risk anything.

Personally I'd skip breakfast. That why I'd enjoy lunch more :)

A steak to go doesn't sound ideal to me.

I disagree with you about Evita’s ambience however it’s hard to argue with anyone about the decision to go to Shallot’s twice

A steak to go doesn't sound ideal to me.
Just doing pastries and coffee- something to hold us over till lunch.
Agreed about the steak, not necessarily planning on getting a steak. I know its criminal but I usually end up disappointed with steaks in restaurants- with the exception of Tierra Sur and Reserve cut, and even then not always.
We did actually think about picking up dessert from Shallot's to eat on the plane.

I think the new plan may be to do Milt's twice. Or maybe Evita Sunday night, Shallot's to go on Monday night.

Sooo... Sarah's Tent?
Haven't been there yet but I'm told it's really great... They redid the deli section and have great food.
Now they repoened the former DaNali's and made a new kosher pizza shop
