Any ideas on where to pickup takeout on a random weeknight, or restaurants  open late?
Typically Evita is open late

What is "late?"

I assume if you're from New York that's 10 PM or later. In Chicago, "late" is after 8 PM :)

Evita (as mentioned) usually open until 12 AM. Tel Aviv pizza open until 9:30

There is a 24 hour kosher dunkin with a drive through also

Shallots or Evitia if only 1 night?

Is the Kosher cart in Wrigley good?

Also, is there anything in the Wrigley vicinity for a late afternoon for a couple of hours? Want to kill time between the end of a Cubs game and dinner at Milts without going too far out of the way if possible.

Depends what you like. I'd go to shallots personally. Kosher cart is decent. Hot dogs, sausages, hot pretzels, chips and cookies. Nothing to write home about, but they do have grilled onions. Not a ton to do in Wrigleyville, but downtown isn't too far out.

Thanks.

For hotels, is the Regency or Centric better? Have a cat 1-4 cert to use. Regency is cheaper but I'm not sure if that's a function of location or hotel quality.

Is Hylife still open?
They are one and the same as far as being open or closed. I may be mistaken, but I believe they're both already closed.

Currently booked at the Hyatt Centric Miracle Mile.

Will I be very inconvenienced by this for food, vs staying at the Hyatt House Evanston? They both seem to be roughly the same driving (read: Uber) distance away from food places, but I know nothing about Chicago traffic.

Is there anywhere downtown to get pre-packaged food?

Plan for food is:

- Sunday lunch: Wrigley Field kosher stand
- Sunday Night - Evita
- Monday lunch - TBD - Pizza or food I bring with me
- Monday Night - Milts
- Tuesday lunch - TBD (maybe Ken's), but for sure picking up sandwiches from Romanian for dinner (flight) - and a few salamis :)

The way I see it, I will be downtown during the day, so where I stay won't help me for lunch anyway, so I may as well stay in a nicer area and a nicer hotel, but if there's something food wise I'm not thinking of (like a great breakfast place up north), then I would consider changing to Hyatt place.

The other factor I need to consider is that I am landing at MDW Sunday around 10:30am, then need to get to hotel to drop bags, and then to Wrigley by 1pm. Evanston is far from both MDW and Wrigley, and I am concerned that I won't have enough time, especially if I am delayed a few minutes.

Evanston will typically be a bit closer, but when factoring in your later points, I think you're good where you are.

Is there anywhere downtown to get pre-packaged food?

Bebes is downtown, and has to go/deli style food. It's a bit of a walk from Mag mile, but doable.

Plan for food is:

- Sunday lunch: Wrigley Field kosher stand
- Sunday Night - Evita
- Monday lunch - TBD - Pizza or food I bring with me
- Monday Night - Milts
- Tuesday lunch - TBD (maybe Ken's), but for sure picking up sandwiches from Romanian for dinner (flight) - and a few salamis :)

Not much for great breakfast in Chicago. Emma's isn't bad, and is definitely closer to Evanston, but I wouldn't say it makes it worth staying there. Lincoln Cafe is pretty much the only other option, and it's takeout only.

This one is the big one. Evanston is waaay out of the way. From MDW you can take the 55 right into downtown, or get right onto Lakeshore, and lands you right at Wrigley. Couldn't work out better.

See my answers/comments above in bold.

No. From what I hear, it's not going to be very food oriented, more focused on drinks. Would be nice to have more breakfast food here.

Very helpful. At this point my only question is whether to even bother with Evita or  just do milt's both nights.

Evita is a specific style. Milts is good enough, that it's not worth the schlep to Evita unless you specifically want to try it/change it up.

Milt's is terrific. @henche can eat dirt.
