the airport is 15 min away from Peterson Park (without traffic) . So any airport hotel east of the airport should cut it.
Holiday Inn Skokie is across the street from Skokie Yeshiva
Double Tree North shore, Hampton Inn North shore.

Thanks very helpful.
Does not anyone where I can find a hotel in one of these neighborhoods with free parking and a sofa bed.
Closet thing I found was near a Springhill Suites near the airport but it had a $30 parking fee.

Just curious why the WA is not on the wiki list of hotels, and seems there is not much talk on here about it. Anyone stay there? Is it very nice? Could also stay at ph but I have a free night I figured WA would be nice.

Planning a really short trip (possibly 2 days Sunday am til monday night or Tuesday am), still not as short as Dan’s quick stop. Going to nuovo for brunch, but where else out of shallots evita and milts (only 2 dinners, and don’t think I can shlep back to Skokie so many times for a lunch). Related are there any kosher places that will deliver to downtown for lunch other than Dublin and Tel Aviv (only kosher on Uber eats?)

did you go? might be best use of FHR credit for me.
I'm there for a night, thinking Milts and Waldorf from ORD. not so interested in a lot of shlepping around, and need to be in Schaumburg area the next morning.

Why would you shlep to Milts? It's really not like it used to be. I'd say go shallots, Nouvo for dairy, smoke for smoked brisket, or YOKO which is opening in 4 days.

Although there aren't many upscale hotels on that side of town. Traffic is brutal these days and can be over an hour from ORD to Milts

Short TR
Shallots - first time there, so no baseline, but nice place and good food. Ribs and rib tacos were outstanding
WA - booked with FHR credit, underwhelming welcome at 930 pm, but exit this morning was more the five star experience.
Got a junior suite upgrade which was nice.
$84 valet charge that Amex $100 credit did not work for. A couple of &$15 drinks and $8 coffees took care of that.
Picked up breakfast and lunch to go at Lincoln. Really good so far.

I want to be near Downtown Chabad for Shabbos. The Hyatt Place Chicago/ River North and the Hyatt Centric Chicago Magnificent Mile seem to make then most sense. Does anyone know if those hotels have ground floor lobbies? Dealing with Shabbos in a hotel is complicated as is- I don't want to add a difficult-to-access lobby to the mix.

Yoko:
Food was 10/10
Service 9/10 (one dish took a bit longer than expected to make an appearance, but otherwise it was great)
Ambience 9/10 a tad crowded and noisy- possibly due to the soft opening? It did seem like they have another room available which might seat guests, which would definitely alleviate the situation
