Navy Pier is the destination for spectacular fireworks perfectly synchronized to music on Lake Michigan. The summer schedule begins Memorial Day weekend with fireworks every Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. and Saturday at 10:15 p.m. through Labor Day weekend. Whether viewing from the dock or on board an evening cruise, fireworks is the perfect way to end your day at Navy Pier!

Firework shows are really cool when you don't expect them.

Not a fair comparison. It was a really good burger, nice and juicy. To make it an awesome burger it needs to be smothered in cheese.

The chili was heavy on the meat side (the way I like it) and had nice little kick to it.

I am up for a repeat any time. As a bonus there are many Staples nearby.  ;)
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Hmmm...BA has a 9K flight Sunday morning-Sunday evening and I can even hit up a Tribe game in between Milts and Shallots.
If they were playing on the North side instead of the South side I'd be there in a second.

Smothered in cheese? Gotta come to the CLE kosher Subway for that ;)

Must order items from milts?

100% of proceeds DO go to charity, but after ALL expenses (including salaries) are paid,
and the tax incentives for, because they are technically a not-for-profit, are incredible....they probably make more money than all the other restaurants in chicago.

Of course it's after salaries are paid. Did you expect them to operate at a loss like that?

And they're making more money because they're good!  What incentives are there to be a NFP besides for not paying sales/income tax anyway?  There's no income tax as it is as all income goes to charity and food isn't subject to sales tax.

so that begs the question...why aren't all other restaurants following the same M.O.?

How does my response beg that question at all?
Most people open restaurants to make money after paying out salaries, not to give it all away.

Many owners with the money to invest have 0 desire to manage the restaurant.
