Can someone help me with Hotels in Chicago???

Rundown:

2 free hilton nights (but waldorf is all booked)
Starwood points
Hyatt Cat 1-4 free night and have chase points that I can transfer.

Can anyone give me guidance. I want to stay near The Magnificent Mile area and I want to know what hotels are worth looking at. I have mid tier status in each hotel chain.

Domestic. Yes.

Brisk starts earlier to get to shmona esrei by netz.
That said, many places daven netz on hoshana raba, some might daven earlier.
Skokie is a bit closer.
If you have global entry, that should speed things up

Thanks. Won't have GE approved by then. And from Gmaps, Skokie doesn't look to be much closer.

Even if the Minyan finishes at 8, I wouldn't get to the airport till 8:30 which leaves an hour till the flight... Oy it's not going to be a fun week. No offense Chicagoans.

Thanks. Neitz on Hoshana Rabbah in Chicago is about 7AM. Give it 1.5 hours for davening and 1/2 hour to get to ORD and I'm there just 40 minutes before my flight. That probably won't do right? Which means I can't really get to any Minyan, unless there was something closer to ORD.
I think there's a 5:50 minyan by R' Eichenstein on Devon. If you davening before neitz that's your best bet.  Then comes the question is it better to daven with a minyan before neitz or without a minyan after neitz.

Brisk gets to shmonei esreh at neitz (isn't that the definition of a netz minyan?).

2 hours before the flight? what for? Even checking luggage, I would get there an hour before the flight. Why do you want to sit in the airport?

Are you returning a car?
Life isn't about checking the boxes. Nobody cares.

Okay, I never go to Neitz so I wasn't sure.

Nervous about that "chance" where security takes forever. Or other situations like in DEN where you have to wait for a train to get to your terminal.

I have to go Q Center-Shul-ORD. I'm imagining taxi (probably Uber just to guarantee my ride comes on time), but if I can get a car rental that will drop the car at the Q Center, that would probably be cheaper.

Right that's a good Q. Not sure I'd do that.

There's no train.

Do you have pre check? Or some for of priority security?

Isn't this business travel? Why do you care about cost?

Won't be approved for pre check by then. Haven't had a good time to go for an appt and every time I cancel the next avail is so far down the road :( I have an AA cc which I just remembered will help get through check-in faster, but not security. Flying coach.

Business isn't paying for my flight out. They would only pay for a flight back to NY and since I'm going to DEN for the 2nd days, they wouldn't cover the ORD-DEN flight (even though it'll be practically the same price). :( Can't ask them to pay for my taxi rides around Chicago in this case.

If they would pay for your flight to NY and associated taxis, why wouldn't they just pay for a taxi?

It's confusing. They're paying for my cab from ORD-Q Center, but I'm leaving the program early because of Yom Tov. They know that, but officially, you can't book taxis (through the car service they have a deal with) back to the airport till later in the day. So, they may allow me to take one on my own and just get reimbursed later, but I don't think it would be right to take it for an extra hour to get to Shul...

Uber is pretty cheap in Chicago. I got from Peterson park to airport during rush hour for under 30 bucks including tip.

Great!

Okay, so perhaps I'll ask again here next week if anyone can find out exact starting times for a Neitz Minyan, stay there for as much as I can and then leave to the airport to get there an hour before the flight.
