If you book and cancel will they deduct the points?

it says you need to actually complete the stay to get the points. Shame you cant just book and cancel

I called them & there systems are also down & they cant do anyting now, told me to call back in 3-4 hours

I just called them up, and asked them about the "good will gesture" of 500 points, they confirmed it, and they are crediting my account for an additional 500 points.

No bookings were required
