I think generally Swiss is better but what aircraft are operating the respective flights?
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Swiss: 332/333
Lufthansa: 346/744

Swiss is definetly the better product, especially if you are flying on the A333, which is probably the best business class out there

I think in all 3 classes swiss is much better, since all flights to JFK are operated by the new A333 and by Lufthansa you will get a old 747 or A340, so this is not even "a shaile"  ! Dont take the Swiss flight to EWR as that is operated by Privatair, business only, but the seats are old.

Lh, would have an advantage, that only from muc or fra to tlv there is a first class, as well as kosher food in the lounge.

Still I'd go for swiss.

Even if its just for the MEEEEeeehhh in the monorail. ;D

aussie never said which class he is flying. I think a longlife kosher meal in the lounge should not make it or brake it for anybbody. Go with Swiss, Fra is also not a "geshmake" airport to transit!

I think the topic kind of gives it away.

My return flight is actually more than 330 days away but I figured that ill book a date they have and then change it in a couple of weeks when it becomes available.
I'm checking ANA and starting from 330 days out (you'd think that there would be the most available seats), working back there is nothing for ZRH-JFK or EWR in any of the 3 classes.
Am I doing something wrong or do Swiss have a different way of releasing seats?

That is incorrect. Only 1 of the 2 flights a day to JFK is operated by the new A333. Sometimes neither is. The business class on the A340 & A332 are about equivalent with the Lufthansa Business, though I like the food from FRA & MUC better than ZRH. It's always very fresh

Swiss has a very odd way of releasing seats. Just keep checking and eventually it should open. You may need to wait till a week before departure though.

Who said anything about a longlife meal in the lounge? The meals are delivered fresh from Sohar on the day of travel and are fantastic 5 course meals, only surpassed by Hermoles in the Concord Lounge in LHR

A bit too odd, so I checked EF for the same date and look, 8 seats.

The seats may have only been released for M&M

I don't, as the meals come from FRA.
