Laptop specs

I'm in the market for a new laptop but never know if deals I see are good because I don't know what specs I need. I need it for everyday home use mostly on the internet, store my photos and videos, kids watch some videos but not much, what specs should i be looking for?

I would recommend going with the intel I series which means i3, i5 or i7 in your case the i3 is fine or i5. I7 would be overkill. Secondly you will want 4gb of ram and the standard 500gb Hard drive. That's the basics any other questions feel free to ask.
