You might want to post what job she's looking for in the DDF Employment Agency thread

When I was in yeshivah, one of the staff was a few months behind in being paid, he  locked the Menahel's computer and said he wouldn't open it untill he had the money in his accounts (I don't know the details but I know the Menahel tried hiring an expert to unlock it and it didn't work).
So he was willing to pay a computer expert? That's a waste of money!

Very simple:

Call the employer's wife, in-laws, and as many acquaintances as possible, especially the Rov of the shul he attends. Put social pressure on that scumbag.
If he doesn't budge, make a post on FB detailing the situation(you are immune from a libel lawsuit if the info is true). People will do many things to keep their reputation at bay.

Go to his house everyday and tell his neighbors. Hopefully he will bend.

Make a poster with his picture and distribute if all else fails.

These type of people deserve ZERO respect.

I don't think this is the most mature way to deal with this situation. Threatening is one thing, but keep his friends, family, neighbors out of it. You don't know what's going on on the the other side..

+1, you dont want to do anything that at a later time when things get explained (if they ever do) you will feel like a douche. Good luck though

Unless he's a real POS a single call to his wife will do the job

The most important thing is to always follow through w threats or else you lose credibility.

By being passive, this behavior is harbored. There's a major difference between someone who's totally bankrupt, completely transparent about their finances, and at least shows they care to pay someone they owe, to a boss driving a Lexus, taking vacations, spending money that could be used to pay the employee etc., and being evasive about his ability to pay.

The latter deserve no mercy.

I wasn't talking about threatening the friends and family themselves, Chas veSholom, rather telling them about the situation so they could pressure the scumbag.

I emailed her boss. Basically saying that I need the money etc. how come your late. He said by Tuesday I should have it. He didn't seem to happy with me. I didn't threaten him but made it clear that actions will have to be taken if he doesn't pay. Ill Keep you all posted.
