El Al free Matmid signup (normally $25)

I know that within a few weeks of posting this it will be gone, so if you don't already have a Matmid number, sign up now for yourself, spouse and kids. Otherwise it's $25 (but you get 30 points with that, so if you are buying points anyway at $1 per, then pay the fee).

On signup, enter campaign code: VRU86791605

It took me about 20 minutes to find this...wasn't easy. I'm pretty sure this isn't posted anywhere else.

What do you get for being in the Matmid program? Is this like a benefit program for frequent fliers? Please post more info so people will know why they should sign up.

Yeh Its from the Go Israel Virtual event. But be careful sometimes it doesn't work as supposed and charges your credit card. So if it asks for credit card info clear cache and restart.

Wow, El Al's website is designed so poorly!

Anyway, it is good for checking availability, so this is definitely worth signing up for.
$350 in "fees" for a JFK-TLV RT flight though is deplorable.  Does anyone know what AA charges in fees to fly on El Al for JFK-TLV?

i flew elal 7 months ago with aa points (bus class) and rthe cost was about 80 dollars so i guess thge 350 is if you book with elal.
seems to me that even when flying with elal (on a paid ticket) its better putting the mileage credit on aa

Elal is supposed to be one of the most generous programs around.

I calculate this by looking how many flights of one kind get me the same flight for free.

+ as I believe the regular card only says matmid on it, you can always say that you think matmid means platinum elite. ;-)

If you use points for flight awards... Matmid points can also be used for upgrades without any "fees", and can be gifted to another person.
