United Miles versus Citi TY, EWR to MCO...
« on: May 13, 2013, 03:18:28 PM »
I don't get it. Everything I read says that Citi's TY aren't worth much, but I'm seeing the opposite.

4 persons
EWR to MCO 10/9/2013 3:25p
MCO to EWR 10/17/2013 7:25p

Citi TYP is 61880
United Miles is 100,000 plus $20

Is there a cheaper way of booking this on United? I plan to travel to Greece next summer. Will United Miles be better for ATH?

I had Citi Premier and now have Chase Explorer and United Club. Do I need to go back to Citi?

Citi Thank you points are great for tickets that are under $250.

And yes in general United will be better to get to ATH than Citi. With Citi it all depends on how much the ticket you're buying costs.

Thank you for the quick response. That would make sense as these tickets are around $215 each. OK I'll stick with United. About to apply for a few other Chase cards this month to build the United Miles balance and wanted to make sure it was worthwhile.
