Two stories I remember from back in yeshiva
Story #1: Bucher did something, and hanhala punished him with $100. He walked to the corner, started scratching at the local bodega $10 lottery tickets, at the 4th ticket he won $100.... Triumphantly, he walked back to yeshiva and paid $100 with a smile!!!
Story #2: Bucher told a friend he should go to bodega, and buy for him a specific $10 lottery ticket, and he should not stop until he hits a win, regardless how big or small the win is. after 9 tickets, he decided to stop, a lady bought the next one and won $500!!!
IIRC these two boys are still fighting who was right.......
