I strongly believe (hope) that WhatsApp will remain #1, it's just the excitement of BBM coming to ios and Android ( as somebody said; it's like when they are giving those זמירות'לך at the weddings and everybody is running to get one of it even though they don't need it and they're gonna dump it),

At least that's what I ( as a Gingerbread user) hope.

If an app is not compatible with your device then you won't be able to find it in the store ( except with a direct link,  and you'll see a msg that your device is not compatible).

BB may have also kept features in BBM that only BB users have, which is an additional incentive to stay.
