Ba Q-
« on: May 14, 2013, 02:01:54 PM »
Sorry to start a new Q- in a rush here. I need to book 2 ticks for kids on BA - do I just type in that they are adults and write correct dob or diff dob?
They are 5 and 7

The adult was already booked sep. They won't let you book JUST for children.

Try doing this on the phone, they should be able to add them, Might get phone booking fee waived if you explain the situation to the booking agent

I just booked one kid as an adult and wrote his birthday as 2000 (adults are 11 and up)

Should I call and have date changed or deal with it at airport? Or was it dumb to do that ? I didn't want to lose the seats and they were down to the last two.

Mods if you can move this to the right place that would be great. I tried deleting all of it but it won't let me.

Basically I have one adult booked from one account and 2 kids booked sep.
Should I call to have the year of birth changed or deal with it at airport?
Not a lot of exp flying domestic with kids.

I would call if you have the time.

You don't want to be figuring this stuff out at the airport.

So you're saying it's best to just leave the date and deal with it at airport? If it was all under one reservation number I wouldn't think twice. My only concern is that the kids reservation is on a separate reservation.

I flew on BA to TLV with an infant. The TA intentionally put down the wring birthdate in order to conform a bassinet.  My daughter was 13 months and they only confirm bassinetts up to 8 months.  We had no problem on any of the flights.

That's an infant. I'd imagine it may be a bit different. Did they even notice?
This is a 7 year old booked as a 12 year old.

If they printed the DOB on the boarding pass, it would be an issue. But they don't.
