I'm sure bits and pieces have been mentioned in numerous threads, but it's hard to find all the information in one place, so I thought I'd ask in a new thread. (on the other hand, if a thread already exists, please point me to it)
Which credit cards out there today have people earned bonuses for, cancelled, then after an amount of time (if necessary), reapplied and received another bonus for?
I've got several cards that are sock-drawered that on the one hand, I can hold and wait until my next CC application to use as leverage, but if the cards are multi-dippable, perhaps it'd be better if I cancelled them ASAP.
From what I've read, the following cards are multi-dippable (apologies if there's a better term for this. perhaps "churn", but "churn" also seems to mean cancelling one set of cards for a new set of different cards).
Almost all Amex cards, but for the gold and platinum cards, you have to relinquish the card and any in its family for at least 12 months.
Citi AA cards are churnable but require 18 months between signup
I've heard people have double dipped with the Barclay's NFL card (though being Barclays, just getting an extra card can be quite difficult).
Any news on Chase? The best I've heard for Chase is getting the Sapphire Preferred Visa bonus, then getting the Sapphire Preferred Mastercard bonus, but those aren't the exact same cards.
There's also the 4 flavors of Southwest CCs (premier personal, plus personal, premier business and plus business), but again those are different.
For my own purposes, I'm interested to know if anyone has had success getting the bonus twice for the Southwest Chase Plus Card. As well as if anyone has gotten the bonus twice for either flavor of the CSP card (I'm coming up on the AF for the MC after already earning bonuses on the Visa and MC).
As for this thread in general... please share your experience and knowledge about which cards are multi-dippable and what requirements you had to meet to succeed.
Thanks
