FTFY
Yes they will charge you iirc $17, which is cheaper then 100 shekel
So it sounds like they don't also pay the ticket and pass on the fee to you? Thanks for your help!
I got a letter from Cedar for $175. I don't remember anything. But interestingly enough they have my dad's name with my address.Should I be worried?
you can be worried, but i still wouldn't pay
The charge the $17 as a "service fee" for the trouble of having to write a letter to the municipality declaring that it was a dumb tourist during a rental who scored the ticket, and not someone who they can actually go after.
And when I had that, I made a quick call to Chase and bye bye to the $17 fee.
Everyone ignores them without consequence though dunno about having a T.Z
ignores cedar, or eilat? eilat is an israeli firm that can't do much, but cedar is based in CA and is a regular collection agency, ie, it will go on your credit report.
They dont have your SSN, there is no way it goes on your credit report, besides the fact that i got letters from them last year and nothing ever showed up on my report
they have your passport info from the car rental company. are you sure that's not enough?
