I ended up parking by a friend who has a spot so it worked out. So far I did get one ticket for 100 NS so I will have to decide if it's worth paying.

Are you sure that a parking ticket can be ignored?  I am getting letters from a collection agency about unpaid tickets from 18 months ago.

I've been getting that as well as letters for tickets from 36 months ago and haven't had any problems.

Only reason to pay is that at 100 NS it's really not that much and I don't want to risk it going to collections and it somehow affecting my credit. The risk in miniscule but again it's not a lot of money.

Well when you rack up a few thousand shekel worth of tickets it's a bit much.

Does it mess up your record with them & possibly prevent them from renting to you in the future?
