Got registered mail in Israel from the Iriya for a unpaid 500 NIS ticket.
I also got a $13 charge form Thrifty on my CC last week, for processing this ticket.

Anyone ever got this?
I'm worried that they could freeze my Israeli bank account or make a Ikuv Yetizah.

I've had it many times and never had my bank account frozen or ikuv yetziah.

No issues when trying to enter or leave the country (American tourist visiting)?

I have a $200 ticket in collections (I was the primary renter but the additional driver got a parking ticket and didn't want to pay).

I'd (obviously) rather not pay since I don't feel responsible for his ticket.. However if there's an actual risk of getting stopped at the airport, I'd rather call the collections firm and make sure they close the file (pay etc.).

Want my opinion? Dont pay. Next time the collections agency calls (the one in Eilat or in the States?), tell them you have absolutely no intention of paying.

They never called, just sent letters (which of course I've never received ).

I have 2 parking tickets in collections for 4 years already (as of this week ), was in Israel 3 weeks ago and didn't have any problems

Is there such a thing as rental car blacklist there? I could always rent from a different company (or have a backup reservation) but want things to be as straightforward as possible once I land.

4 years ago I rented from Eldan in the airport, this time I rented from Budget in the airport. Although the desks are right next to each other, it seems like they didn't share my info.

i had for a couple of years been receiving letters and phonecalls. till one day i just told them i dont plan on paying. never heard from them again. its been 3 yrs since.
