Got a 100NIS parking ticket in Tiberias. Site won't load so I can't pay online. I emailed someone at the municipality and they're saying my only option to pay is 1) wire transfer (which will cost more in foreign wire fees + conversion fees than the actual ticket) or 2) an Israeli CC, so both options are out. Any other options other than throwing it out? (I know that's prevailing opinion on this thread, but I'd rather pay 100NIS than worry about it down the line).

Separately, I was charged $22 by Eldan to transfer the ticket to my name. They specifically told me that if I let them know about any tickets received within X days of my returning the car, they won't charge me. I emailed them about it, never heard back from them, and got charged the $22 anyway. I want to dispute the charge, but I need to be able to rent from Eldan in the future- any dp if I'll be risking that by disputing?

Why would you pay the tickets I lived in Israel for many years and have bucket loads of tickets catching dust…
5hen I received from some Israeli collections that they won’t extend their hospitality to me on my next trip…..
And then I received some phone call about payment I denied that there’s even a state Israel only know of Palestinine and that’s were it ended

Nachas notes, we call the tickets. Eventually you get comical letters from some "law firm" collections agency in Eilat, trying to act all mafiosi. "We would like to reach an amicable solution that would be best for all involved, so please contact us to arrange for immediate full payment. We would hate for things to have to get unpleasant." 😂

I used this link to appeal Jlm parking ticket, https://jeronlineforms.jerusalem.muni.il/Parking?rqstType=1
apparently once you appeal it takes 3-6 months till they follow up..

I am surprised that a foreign CC wouldn't work for this. (Even when they say it doesn't). Try different types of CC - Visa, Mastercard, Amex. Also try random 9 digit numbers as tudat zehut.. I usually always get it to work. I have paid teberias ticket in the past with a foreign CC.

I can't access the payment site from the US regardless.

Got 500nis parking ticket in Jerusalem on a MyCar.
I live here on a visa.

Should I pay? Will MyCar bill me if I don't?

If you don't pay, the city will ask Mycar who was driving. Mycar will send the city your info. The debt will get linked to your name and passport, plus Mycar will charge your credit card a fee for the favor (roughly 60 shekel if i remember correctly). You will then get a letter in the mail (to the address you gave mycar) from the city asking for the fine plus fees and interest... If you dont pay for long enough time, it could eventually lead to them putting an Ikul (lien) on any bank account connected to your passport number... which can A. block usage of the accounts B. mess you up if you ever need a loan in the future.

In any event, what you do? 500 shekel is a major parking ticket (not feeding the pango is like 100...)

"Parked on the sidewalk"

Technically true, but not really in the way you would think deserves a ticket... Hard to explain. Long story. Involves a construction site, fences, etc.

i.e. typical day in JLM these days... sorry for you...  :'(
You can try chalenging the ticket online. You'll need pics ect... maybe they'll reduce the ticket. No experience with results, just know its possible. Its not terribly complicated, prob worth the time to try.

AFAIR it has recently been discontinued on small sums, which is why I didn't mention it.

It happens to be that I, personaly am/was opposed to that. It was more or less a GOOD thing.
It used to be that preRH, many deadbeats from certain communities would find a way to pay their small debts that they had been derilict in paying, as even a small debt of a couple of 1000 would keep them from leaving the country.
I know a guy who's tenant skipped rent for about six months and then left, he just went to BD, got a heter arkaos, went to court got a tzav Ikul, and whala... just before RH, all the rent got paid...
Pre-summer would also have people paying their debt so that they could go on vacation...
Now, there's zero leverage to make people pay small debts that are too small for the whole Hotzah Lapoel proccess.
