ignores cedar, or eilat?   eilat is an israeli firm that can't do much, but cedar is based in CA and is a regular collection agency, ie, it will go on your credit report.
A friend of mine just told me that when they called him he asked if it will go on his report and they said NO. So they asked him if he will lay he said no so asked again you never plan on paying and he said no again so they said ok will right that down so no one calls you back again.

What was the substance of your call?
Hi, I have a new $17 charge on my card from a car rental a while back. I paid for the rental in full and have a receipt to show. Their response, Ok sir we'll look into it and get back to you. Money credited back, the end.

I just got a charge to my CC from 'kardenvehicle' for about $30. i think it was for a 100 shek ticket or maybe it was from the highway 6.. i also went on that... but basically they do charge the CC. (Rented from Avis and got a Mazda 3 with 93000km)

"Kardan" is Avis Israel.

It's probably for going on the 6. Not for sure for the ticket.

LOL.

Avis adds on a "handling fee" of 50 NIS, though, IIRC.

So i really hope they dont charge my CC for the parking tickets... i got charged in america once $25.75 for going on a toll lane in Florida. It was a $25 fee and $.75 toll charge...

That is what we call, quite literally, "highway robbery". 😜

I just got letters in the mail from a collection agency for parking tickets received in Israel about 18 months ago. Any suggestions?

Yes, I believe there were 3 tickets. Each got it's own letter. I also seem to recall that my cc was charged a few months after I got back from Israel, I assumed it was for the tix but not certain. Should I just ignore?

Sometimes collections are just used as a scare tactic and they can't really do anything

I am pretty sure, though not 100%, that this is a scam.

Someone got a hold of a list of rental location clients and is sending them fake collection letters hoping a fraction of the people will pay without thinking about it.

I am investigating and will update this thread once I have more info.

I got from Cedar and Eilat and the info on my tickets was pretty accurate IIRC
