If you're on gov programs and you do not declare the rental income, and your tenant is on programs and does declare the rental expense you can get busted.
By gov programs you are referring to when I file income taxes?

No. WIC Food stamps, jersey care etc.

(Withholding income from the IRS is obviously a separate a concern.)

Have you ever heard of anyone actually getting caught doing that? Do they actually investigate whether the info they have is true? Or are you just saying that they easily can

I am open to anything.  Also, does anyone know of successful basement stores?

Thanks

What about child care/babysitting? Have you consider it? If not, try on-line sale (EBAY or Amazon) and use your basement as storage.
Good luck!

I don't know if this is the right place for this. But I know someone who has a Kosher Food Distribution Company & is looking to sell it because he wants to get out. He will help on transition, making sure all the clients stay with the new person, etc... In my experience this guy is a honest person. You can obviously see his books & his taxes etc... If you are very serious & have the money to purchase it. Thanks.

  • Location: The value of a forum such as this one is not in that one can post a question and receive an answer, but in that the question has most likely been asked before, and the answer is available to him that will but only use the search function.
  • Programs: 1. Search on google. 2. Search in the right board of DDF with a general word or two. 3. Read the wiki. 4. Read the thread. 5. Ask away.

I am serious and have $100. Considering you didn't post an asking price am I wrong for assuming he will take my offer?

May I suggest posting a new topic in the goods for sale and trade board.

Also you may want to post some more details...

The obvious question is: why is he selling?

Doesn't sound right. If buisness is going well people generally don't sell they hire someone to run the business while they work on the real estate.

Thank you.

May I guess? Is it a vending machine business, and you're the owner? K-Vending?

Sell everything, what you can get your hands on.

Or, open an shul, or a kollel, or a shul with a kollel.

No. I guess I wasn't clear when I wrote a kosher food distribution Company. I meant a company that sells kosher food to kitchens (mostly wholesale), Restaurants, Schools, Nursing homes, Supermarkets etc...
Nothing to do with vending machines.

Hope that cleared it up.
