Someone else booking your Starwood Hotel.
« on: July 14, 2010, 01:16:17 PM »
I want to go to Paris for two nights on SPG points but I am only a regular member. Does anyone have experience with someonelse booking for them, being that there are a Platinum member after the points were transfered? Are there any issues?

Thanks,

Steve

It should work without an issue although they are sometimes a little reluctant to upgrade you.

As long as the Plat member knows what they're doing you'll get all the Plat benefits and upgrades.

The better question is why not find someone to trade Starpoints for Hyatt points in Paris.  Nothing from SPG in Paris compares with the Park Hyatt Paris and the SPG properties in the good neighborhoods are all category 6.
