Israel with babies
« on: July 14, 2010, 02:31:51 PM »
I will be traveling to Israel next week with a baby. I would like to hear input on places to go. Basically, hikes and long trips are out, we can go to the Zoo and possibly some museums. Any specifics? Parks? Attractions?
A couple of points to ponder: Anyone know if restaurants have highchairs? Policies regarding strollers (I know the American consulate is notorious for not allowing strollers)?  Bus and cab fares (is the baby considered a passenger for extra cost)? I can't think of more examples right now, but I'm sure they'll come up as we move along.

Anyone know what qualifies as baby food liquids in the airport? Obviously they won't let you through with a can of red bull, oh! that's for the baby's bottle. But I have heard that people could get away with more than baby formula. Anyone know from experience?

I once watched them confiscate a whole bunch of yogurts from a Frum family. I guess their PR (or should we call it BR Baby Relations) was not polished.

Baby formula, and typical baby food, in russia vodka is also allowed as long as you have a baby with you.

They might ask you to taste it, and be in normal quantity.

I guess in Israel they allow cartons per baby too.

Whatever your worries on your way in, you will have no problem taking any drinks when you leave Israel.
