A 26/27 game unbeaten streak isn't as good as winning 22 straight. Wouldn't be in hockey or soccer either. The only reason there is even a question is that the game was replayed - so in essence the tie was cancelled. The Cubs had a tie last year which was kept as a tie, but in baseball a tie is so rare (the game has to mean absolutely nothing for both teams to be considered a tie) that they don't even write it in the standings when it actually happens

It it wasn't counted, then why are the statistics from the tie included in the players stats that year?
