Carrasco didn't have to pitch in pouring rain?
No it started raining between the top and bottom of the first. BTW I'm not sure the rain is such an advantage for offense. But the delay was short enough that it didn't matter since both starters were able to come back it was like just a long delay

Will remember that one for a while. Gio's slam and the rally off Hand. Sorry you had to take that loss Dan but it was a classic!

This yankee bullpen is really not what it's cracked up to be anymore... I've never been more worried coming off a series win going into the next series lol
If Hand doesn't drop the ball, the series continues tonight. Just pathetic.

But yes, considering the Indians season-long offensive struggles, Yankee fans should be concerned.

My question was meant to be an explanation point. It was infurating at the time. Had the Yankees lost last night, this definitely would have been a factor.

Yup. Everyone let inherited runners score.

Its also telling who the Yankees didn't pit h in middle innings. The fact that Holder and Ottovino didn't come in is concerning. I completely disagree with the move to bring loaisiga in with runners on and a 2 run lead.

The good news is that the Rays aren't an offensive juggernaut either. Depending on the metric, they are anywhere from 9-15. The big question is if the Rays pitching can shut down the Yankees, as outside of Cole, the Rays have a far superior pitching staff.

And Gio playing half-a$$ed in the field

Just watched the ceremonial first pitch. Nice to see deserving front-line workers getting honored, but why did they throw it a few feet in middle of the outfield instead of to home plate like @Dan did (or tried to do :)?
