I like when both teams are good. But I think the Yankees were going to pivot to Lindor if DJL doesn't work out. And TBH I would've preferred Lindor to DJL. Also, when I heard the Carrasco part, it made me want that even more. Plus, I was hoping to sign him as a free agent next year regardless, Torres cannot be the long term answer at SS, though I'm fine with one more year as a stopgap till the 2021 class of SSs

Though to be honest they probably would've charged us an AL premium AND a Yankees premium. And I'm pretty confident we'll get a legit shortstop next year. There aren't that many teams who will be willing to give the contract needed to sign all those shortstops. Lindor would've been my first option but I'll be fine with plenty others.
