The umpires in Toronto earned their paycheck last night. They handled every call well! Wish I could say the same about the players, managers, and fans.

Texas definitely didn't. They lost that game after the 3 errors. Nobody to blame but themselves.

A little googling and I found this though this occurred in top of the ninth and would have scored the go ahead run while situation in mets game occurred in 4th to score tying run. I think bad play by ethier.

At the same time, you don't want to take a chance the next pitch goes a few feet left and 20 feet deeper.

Take the out, concede the run.

And back in 2010 jd drew caught a foul ball in 7th which led to a tying sac fly and he actually took a lot of flack for it.

Dunno would've been an 0-2 count with a pretty dominant pitcher on mound particularly in 2 strike situations.
