Man, after such compelling baseball in the division series', these series have been a real bust.

Mets-Royals. Crazy.
Royals looking like that will win back to back pennants. Just insane
I was really hoping for TOR-CHI. Oh well

I still remember watching the Red Sox when down 3-0 were also down in game 4, facing Rivera (best ever?)... All it took was a stolen base and a single to get them going...

I remember that too. Incredible series.

Just this year, Toronto was down 0-2 in the first round.

Leave it to a Met fan to not understand the difference between 20 years of dominance and 2 weeks

Didn't the Diamonbacks get to him too in a WS game? Would you pick Rivera or MadBum to close out game 7 of a WS?

Yeah on a steal and a bloop hit. That's what happens when you throw 141 post season innings, hard to be perfect. But near impossible to be better than Mo in such a large sample. 0.70era, 0.76 whip.

141 post season innings

That's insane. It's almost 2 full seasons worth of relief pitching. He's like the Daniel Murphy of post season pitching.

That's not what I remember.
It was a bunt with a man on first and Rivera threw to second for some unknown reason, and of course overthrew the ball to centerfield.

Rivera blew 2 series.

No it's not, Rivera was consistently good reg season and post season his whole career. Murphy is comparable to Beltran (hit like crazy in playoffs right before he was a free agent).
Rivera blew 2 series.
Which is why it is hard to label best ever. As good as he was, MadBum never blew a series!
