Mets mistake wasn't so much the errant throw by Duda. Hard to expect more from the least skilled defensive position on such a high stakes play. Major blame belongs to Wright. He should've let the short stop field the ball and held Hosmer at 3rd. Hosmer's only mistake is not getting further down the line as the play developed. He should've been 1/4-1/3 of the way home by the time Wright threw the ball rather than 10-15 feet.
