No question offense way better not sure how even compares gleyber/Stanton/voit/andujuar.....
The bullpen has been worse across the board except for Betances...just look at the numbers.CC is down, sevy looked good but still walked way too many, even Tanaka struggled of late.
Tanaka has been better than last year, even with the games he struggled. Happ has been great as well. Pitching isn’t their strength (and is arguably more important in the playoffs ), but their pitching is not worse than last year.
At the end of the day, the Yankees are going to need to get to Sale at least once most likely in Fenway.
it's good to be a Lubavitcher
Yeah, you get santana and i get Gray. Idk. Anyone have a good idea for a fun bet?
I think that Yankees have a very strong chance of winning if they pitch well enough to limit the Sox to fewer runs than they manage to score off Red Sox pitching. OTOH, if the Red Sox score more off Yankee pitching, the Yankees will certainly lose.
I was listening to the radio point out this stat which is pretty unbelievable - and I know all about the first time in... things that ESPN always tries to find - but this is the first time in 14 years that the Yankees and Red Sox will play each other in the playoffs.
@ChaimMoskowitz Remember this bet?Wow both players had pretty rough years. Gray was awful and Santana was injured (and not good in his few starts). So who won ?
*Both pitchers would have to be on teams with similar offensive numbers (bullpens harder to predict and more random)
Did we actually bet? If this condition you stated was met Gray won. Was the condition met?
We did bet but the Twins were a middle of the pack offensive team while Yankees were top 3. Also Santana only made like 6 starts although didn’t record a win in any of them. But next time you are in NY we can still grab some food...
When you are in ORD let me know. Milts is on me.
