Pathetic.

MLB did a great job on the rule changes, but they need to fix a few things very badly.
1) This is not the first time this rule has been botched *by replay*. This is probably the worst, but there were others. MLB needs to either change or clarify this rule. It is beyond ridiculous.
2) Create a real standardized "sticky stuff" rule. Can't be left to the subjective view of each and every umpiring crew. Either rosin and sweat is allowed or it is not. Can't expect every pitcher to know what the limit will be for any given umpiring crew. It's not just about that specific game either, when a pitcher is tossed, they get banned automatically.
I would like the replay system to be changed whereby instead of teams getting challenges, the replay booth is watching every play, and they radio in *immediately* for every *egregious* call, even balls and strikes. When a pitch 6 inches out of the zone is called a strike, or a pitch down the middle is called a ball, the type of thing that is blatantly obvious to every single person watching the game - those are the calls that need to be fixed, not if the catcher's left toenail tipped the outer millimeter of home plate a millisecond before the outfielder threw the ball in.
