While it may not be $50, the batteries, water plus whatever other potential useful coupons, may make it worth while.

Is this really worth the effort?  Seems to me that buying things on sale at a supermarket provides a better deal than Costco, without the 30 gallon drums of ketchup.  I know there are some exceptions, but big picture.

Costco is not for everyone. It is very easy to get caught up and spend/buy a lot more than you need. But for those who need it, it has some good deals.

Sam's club just had a great living social deal where you got a whole bunch of stuff plus a sam's club/walmart $20 giftcard.

Don't know for sure, but with Costco's CS, probably.

Even just for their Salmon its worth it. Depends what you need. I definitely hear that its not for everyone.

"Customers must return both the Membership Activation Card and coupons for the return to process.
Both the card and coupons must be unused.
The card and coupons cannot be returned to a Costco warehouse location; they must be mailed to the address above.
The return period is 12 months.

If your Costco store has the large selection of kosher items that mine does then you can save a lot of money on certain food items.  Some items I buy there for convenience but some things are much less money!  Some stores even have kosher bakeries (Brooklyn, Hackensack and Nanuet(?))
