Can anyone tell me when the 3 month starts by chase to meet the  spending threshold, is it from receiving the card or from activating it? And how about Amex?

A chase rep told me today that it starts from when the account is opened.

Correct, however if you call up and ask for the date when you mush finish your spending by, you might find that they add a day or two. (IIRC 93 days)

I believe they changed it from 93 to 103.
